STORY SYNOPSIS
ALGEBRA IN ANCIENT ROME
We find a dissertation on the History of Algebra..
Algebra did not make it to Europe till about 450AD Which Was After The Fall Of Rome.
Finally in 830AD Algebra was put together by the great Arab Mathematician Al Jabar.
If Ancient Rome Had Arabic numbers ( click on Chariot above ) they may not have fallen in 450AD to the Barbarians i.e. I, II, III, IV vs 1,2,3,4, example algebraic equation ( Y= X+a-b ) Rome would have not lost the war..
They only had the cumbersome Roman numerals

to compute their engineering which is remarkable knowing what Engineering Marvels they had accomplished..
